Arild Sodefjed Jørgensen is the Executive Vice President of the Integrated Defence Systems, a division in Kongsberg Defence Systems (KDS) within KONGSBERG GRUPPEN ASA (KONGSBERG).

The portfolio comprises products and systems for command and control, weapons guidance and surveillance, communications solutions, missiles, Space products and services and advanced composites and engineering products for the aircraft and helicopter market.
The IDS portfolio comprises product and services for Air Defence systems, NAVAL Systems for sub-surface and surface applications, Costal Artillery systems, command and control of Airborne Early Warning Systems, NATO AGS, Army Battle Management systems, Field Artillery Systems and Tactical Data Link systems.
Since joining KONGSBERG in 1986, Mr. Jørgensen held different positions of increasing responsibilities within KONGSBERG; including Software Development, Systems Engineering, Project and Program Management and several Departmental Management positions. Mr. Jørgensen was central in establishing the Raytheon/KONGSBERG NASAMS SL-AMRAAM air defence system which has now been sold worldwide. He has been the VP of Air Defence Programs since 2006 and acting as the EVP for Integrated Defence Systems since Aug 2016.
Mr. Jørgensen holds a BSc in Control Engineering and a Masters Degree in Computation.
